He Loved Me After I Died

For nine years, Nycta lived in the War God Arion’s shadow, taking seventeen deadly blows for him and sacrificing pieces of her soul to keep him alive. She thought her loyalty would earn his love. Instead, everything changed when Arion rescued a mysterious woman named Celine. Celine quickly became the woman Arion cherished most. When she needed a cure, Arion sent Nycta into the Underworld to suffer in her place. Nycta returned broken, only to be punished and stripped of her divine power while Celine took all the credit. Then Arion promised to marry her. On the eve of their wedding, Nycta took a fatal blow meant for Celine—and vanished. But Nycta didn’t die. She awakened in the Underworld with no memories, where Thanatos gave her something Arion never had: freedom. Now Arion wants her back. But the woman who once lived in his shadow… no longer wants to return.
